Fear Free Professionals

All our staff are Fear Free trained professionals and have completed the Fear Free Professionals training course. Training includes understanding pet transport safety, understanding anxiety and potential aggression triggers and how to navigate these through positive reinforcement techniques. The course also teaches the use of pharmaceuticals (including calming and sedating medications, analgesics and anaesthetics), complementary therapeutics and products for in-house hospital use and at-home use. 

By using behaviour-modifying techniques such as providing treats or rewards throughout the dog’s visit this approach not only improves the dog's experience but also allows veterinarians, nurses and groomers to perform their duties more efficiently and accurately.

Please note,  our clinic has been built to meet the standards to achieve Fear Free Practice Certification and we are currently working toward completing the certification.
